
Michal Delkowski completed the System Design and Management (SDM) program at MIT, focusing on space architecture, science, and advanced concepts. He brings over a decade of experience in aerospace engineering, having served as Chief Engineer, Expert, and R&D Coordinator at Airbus Defence and Space, working across all business domains: commercial airplanes, helicopters, and space. Throughout his career, Michal has led multiple space missions, overseeing the full lifecycle of projects from concept development to in-orbit operations.
Michal holds a Ph.D. from the University of Surrey, where he specialized in nanotechnology and space systems. He also holds an EMBA, two M.S. degrees, and a B.Eng. in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. He has worked extensively on international collaborations with space agencies such as ESA, NASA, and DLR, contributing to pioneering projects in space exploration, science, and Earth observation. Before transitioning into aerospace, Michal spent several years in the high-tech and automotive industries, and he has lived and worked in multiple countries.
At the System Architecture Group, Michal worked with Dr. Bruce Cameron on topics related to space telecommunications, focusing on competitive dynamics and strategies in satellite communications. In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Michal is passionate about outdoor activities and mentoring. He has supervised Ph.D. and MSc students and is actively involved in advancing the future of space technologies and advanced concepts.
